Hi.
I have enjoyed this group for a while and have a question of a semi
newbie nature. I was wondering if any one has a recommendation for
keeping my exs programs and samples more organized. Sometimes I'll
open an old song in Logic and I get the message- "junglebass1.aif
not found" or something similar. I thought that by having a folder
on my desktop of sampler instruments and by keeping sub folders of
the samples associated with each program in there that I was safe,
but something is still wrong. I thought I had a handle on it. Would
I benefit from getting Translator or Redmatica Manager?
One problem is I've had the same setup for years and don't have any
upgrade plans in my near future. It is outdated, but works for me
just fine:

Mac G4 Dual 500 1 GB Ram OS 9.1(yeah, I know I'm way behind the
times!)

Logic Audio Platinum 4.1 with EXS 24(not MKII), but the original

I recently experienced a problem when I downloaded some cool synth
stuff from the Hollow Sun site(an excellent resource and highly
deserving of everyone's support). I took a cd of the programs and
samples to my studio, put em on my hard drive in the aforementioned
desktop folder and got the previously mentioned error message when
trying to audition the new sounds. I tried looking at the factory
sounds that came with the EXS24, but didn't really find a clue as to
what I'm not getting.
I realize that the answer to my problems may lie somewhere in an FAQ
and I've tried searching to no avail, but I was hoping for a super
clear concise explanation from someone of how to keep my exs
programs and samples organized before the mess gets any worse.
Thanks.
