The problem is: when ExsManager PC (Windows) was written, VSL did not exist yet. So, you won't be able to scan the performance instruments, as they contain some special data which we couldn't know at the time. The VSL cube instruments will instead work correctly. ExsManager PC (Windows) is free (has always been free), and it's not supported anymore, so there's no solution for this... I know this doesn't directly interest you, but i just want to state the fact that ExsManager OSX is a total rewrite, it's fully supported, and of course has no such problems. Best Regards Andrea at Redmatica since i have your attention, i might as well ask you about EXS Manager and the VSL Strings library (EXS). EXS Manager has quit twice while scanning the samples folder. is there a compatibility issue between EXS Manager and VSL, or could it be just a bad file? i could write down the exact error message, since it does ask to report the error to Redmatica. Thanks Andrea for taking the time to clear these issues. I may be able to get by without managing the VSL files, but I am planning to move to OSX eventually, just for some typical reasons. Thanks again. Best Andre
