Sculpture does not imitate natural instruments. It "constructs" sounds by mathematical calculations based on physical properties. Although Sulpture can produce the sound of several natural string instruments to some degree it is rather built to construct synthetic or impossible instruments like a glass cylinder plucked by a feather. Maybe you can imitate the sound of one Dobro string within a small fret range (if you get the parameters right) but you cannot expect to hear any typical playing technique. I think bending Sculpture "back" to produce natural sounds is, though possible, against its destination. > i have > yet to hear any good samples of this instrument I don't know of Dobro samples but I am pretty sure you will find some. If simple samples are not enough for you you might try RealGuitar. Maybe you can filter it somehow to get a Dobro-like sound, assuming that the playing style is authentic. Real Guitar has alternating samples and three types of noises (fret, release, body). You need a mid-size keyboard for that software. If RealGuitar basically fits and you play it in solo mode you could try to support the sound with metallic settings from Sculpture. Btw, it would not do any harm to the musical scene if you get a Dobro sound nobody else has :-) ___ Peter Ostry [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
