Do you have the original CD's? If not, you should. (piracy warning, given 
to all and every person...)

Right, these aren't disk images. They are folder trees of Akai S-1000/3000 
programs converted into HALion by someone. Again, if you haven't purchased 
these libraries, these are pirated samples.

You can use Translator www.chickensys.com to convert HALion->EXS, but 
that's only the PC version at the moment. Again, this advice is only valid 
if you legally own those .fxp and and sample files; otherwise, throw them 
away as they aren't yours. Don't mean to be accusatory, but by the 
descriptions you give, piecing together the information I doubt you own 
these samples.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
