EXS 24 Logic Sampler Users Group

I found the reason:

It's the chase setting. As soon as I turn it off of course I'm not 
getting long held notes, but at least then I'm not getting the 
erratic behaviour that I'm getting now.

So in my experience chase doesn't work.
