I gotta say I was laughing at the legato thing that
was going on with the solo clarinet. It sounded like a
silly little squeek between all notes. I'm using VSL
OPUS 1 and it's legato is much more convincing. Kirk's
recordings sounded really clean to me, but I'd put the
library in the camp of Motu's MSI and the newly
reworked Miroslav, both of which seem to me to be a
cut below VSL and EWQLSO (although I do use some
sounds from MSI and even GPO...). But if I had to
choose one library I'd flip a coin between EWQLSO and
VSL. EWQLSO for huevos, VSL for realistic legato.
