Message posted by Michael Reola <michael@...>: I am trying to trigger the sounds from EXS from a secondary computer very much the same way you would with Gigastudio. IE. One computer triggers another using simply, MIDI... For example, You should be able to assign an audio instrument track to a midi channel and a midi interface port, and anything coming in on that channel and port should trigger the sound receiving on that port/channel. Well I can't figure out how to do this because the Audio instruments don't seem to have ports assigned to them. It seems like when you select an audio instrument in logic, it automatically receives all MIDI data coming in on the channel that the audio instrument is using. Sound confusing? It really shouldn't be. If you look at the MIDI tracks, They allow you to assign a MIDI port and channel to each track, therefore allowing those tracks to be triggered from an external computer. You actually have to select the track itself. Any ideas....? Hopefully I am just overlooking something obvious. Ive tried creating a physical input in the environment and a channel splitter. This did work, but it became quite a mess in the environment and I was wondering if I am doing something wrong... Any help would be greatly appreciated!
