Its great for separating drum kits into aux channels so you can apply different FX / levels to different parts of the drum kit, especially key bits like kick / snare. So the other day, I decided to see what would happen if i Changed the octaves outputs of a Piano sample. I used a multi-channel plugin, set the key range of the first zone from C1-B1, second zone to C2-B2, and so on. I then set their respective outputs to Aux1, Aux2 and so on. I was expecting no change except which aux the sound came out of. However, it made all the octaves on the piano identical, so there was only 1 pitch of each note wherever on the keyboard you played it. Can anybody explain this?
