Your midi input and playback should sound the same
since they don't, check your parameters window on the arrange page to 
make sure you don't have some quantize function or something turned on. 
 Otherwise you might want to check your synth or your midi interface.
Use the pencil tool (matrix editor) to write some midi sequences.  you 
can also hyperdraw some wind controller stuff.  See if that gives you 
any clues about the problem.  Youmight want to try the logic users list 
if you can't figure this ou.
