Re: [exs] Free Spectrasonics library if you can figure this out first!

Hi EXS/Logic environment geniuses out there!

I have been trying to figure out a solution to a serious shortcoming in Logic
with using Audio instruments for over a year. It's time for desperate
measures!

I will give the first person to solve this problem a Spectrasonics CD-ROM
library of their choosing (that's a value of up to $500 if you want Symphony
of Voices!). BTW, all of our stuff converts great to the EXS.

Here's a page list of the juicy options awaiting the winner:

OK..here's the brain twister:

I want to layer two audio instruments in real-time from MIDI input. I also
want to use a split keyboard from MIDI input to have one audio instrument on
the left and another on the right (in real-time).

Sounds simple...right?

Wrong....try it and you'll see the problem.

Logic only allows you to activate one in real-time. The environment should
fix this, but no cabling tricks I've tried work. However, I know that the
environment is incredibly powerful, and that there MUST be a solution in
there somewhere!

This stuff is really easy to do with MIDI instruments, but with virtual
instruments...OY!!

I have a keyboard that can send two MIDI channels at once, with zone ranges,
all the Emagic interfaces and all of the functions of Logic Platinum at my
disposal.

See if you can figure this out, and the first to do it will win the library
of their choosing.

(BTW, don't tell me about making zones in the EXS...that's not an option
here.)

Good luck and may the best man (or non-man) win!

Thanks,
