Re: [exs] Does anyone know how to use soundfonts with the EXS24?

You have probably converted many soundfonts that won't sound as they should
(especially considering the volume of sounds you did this with) because,
neither Halion or the EXS convert soundfonts' filter and mod properties. The
only company to do this is Rubber Chicken (Translator) at
http://www.chickensys.com/ with complete soundfont conversion due out at the
end of this month (so I've been told). This is important because nearly all
soundfont synth patches use filter/mod data to achieve the desired sound.
You may think you converted these sounds, but I can assure you, the result
is a fraction of the quality and form it should be had all the data been
converted. You may want to consider getting Translater and reconverting all
of these soundfonts. You'll hear substantial improvements on almost all
non-percussion patches.
