Hi Shane, Streaming in our context involves the EXS reading the sample data straight from the hard drive rather than loading it all into ram like it currently does. This allows for much bigger samples to be used. I believe, like in Gigasampler, there are bufferring schemes involved where it loads a portion of the sample into ram in advance (the attack portion of ther sound) and then reads the rest from the hard drive. Markus has commented that there are options to fill your ram up first before the streaming kicks in. I'm not convinced yet that this will be any signifigant advantage for us EXS users (who have sufficient ram). But otoh, I haven't tried it yet either. Maybe Joeri or Yavuz can comment on the real world "feel" and differences between having the streaming function enabled/disabled. -- Eli Krantzberg Nightshift Orchestra / Almat Productions http://www.nightshiftorchestra.com
