Here's one for the techies and audiophiles... Has anyone noticed a sound quality difference between the following: a) layering samples within a single EXS instrument b) playing the same samples back via two separate EXS instances on different tracks Granted, (b) creates more flexibility for altering pan and EQ within a song; but all things being equal has anyone noticed any difference in the quality of the sounds (i.e. one sounds warmer, darker, better transients, etc)?
