I'm having the same problem and NO it doesn't help. I copied my whole Logic folder, samples and instruments to a new laptop I got but while the instruments appear, none of the samples can be found. I see them in the same sample folder they've always been in but now on the laptop Logic doesn' t see them EVEN after I adjust the pref to search external drives .
