Having listened and analysed best I could Mainieri's playing, I had come to the conclusion that he used one of those old digital delays with a pedal connected to the speed pot(Roland made those). I did experiment with those and got the same results. Check out the Blue Montreux albums, perhaps that is what is happening on those. Paul
