> I hope no-one laughs but what is a 'sound font' please. A soundfont is like a widely understood sampler format. From what I know it has been invented by Creative Labs (makers of SoundBlaster) to suit their cards. Basically it's a format with embedded samples. Contains all the "usual" sampler info such as loops, key and velocity mappings. It actually also contains things such as velocity to filter cutoff offset - but as SoundBlaster cards are handling things quite a bit different than other samplers (i.e., the offset setting has to be done on the zone itself rather than through some global offset parameter), these things often aren't translated too well. I do however think that both the latest versions of CDxtract and Chickensys Translator convert those settings as well. Regards, Sascha
