To be fair, how much *new* standards need to be implemented in new releases?
Maybe a few new audio & video codecs, but thats about it. I'm not
disagreeing that on the whole this whole situation is a bad turn of affairs,
but I just dont understand the reason why people are saying that this is so
terrible they must drop Logic immediately for simething else. This is
madness in the 90% of cases where people arent needing some new feature as
in your case.

Anyway, I dont particularly want to get into this whole discussion. I'd
rather wait a few weeks and wait for official further details. At the moment
much of this is all based on speculation. If I didnt have to moderate all
the traffic on the LUG list I'd choose to block the threads entirely!
