Micke,
EXS: You can listen to a sample before converting it, but it makes a copy
of it on your hard-disk.
CDXtract: You can listen to a sample before converting it.
EXS: You choose where the converted program(s) will reside
CDXtract: You choose where the converted program(s) and sample(s) will reside
CDXtract also: converts more formats, including GIGA (important format for
film/tv composers); shows you more details about the sample programs, like
mapping, and graphical representation of the samples; allows you to convert
samples that are on your hard-disk; has a batch converter; allows for a
variety of ways in which you can 'stack' or combine programs; offers a
keyword-based search engine to find your samples; etc, etc.
