EXS 24 Logic Sampler Users Group

I am interested in purchasing Exs24 sampler. I have a few questions 
that I need answered. First, is the manual easy to understand? 
Secondly I have an MPC 2000 which I use to Chop samples and play in 
various arrangements in a sequence which include adjusting pitches 
and so forth to make them fit and sound good. Can the Exs24 do the 
same thing? Also can it be used to separate drum sounds and make new 
drum sequences that can be use quantitized? What are the benefits 
compared to a hardware sampler? Thanks for your input.
