The Roland samples (guessing S-50/550) can be put up to the hard drive using an old utility called SMac. From there there's not a whole that can be done. Translator does support the .out format (which is essentially what SMac creates) to other formats, but it isn't on the Mac version yet. (There's plans to do it, just don't know when.) The Akai format could be a number of things. .akp=S-5000, .p/.sts=Pulsar, .prg/.s3p/.sp=MESA - the latter two are clones of the S-1000 or S-3000 format, stored on computer HD instead of proprietary Akai disk. Both the utilities mentioned above deal with some of these, not all of them yet. Check their web sites or documentation for what's available, e-mail them or call them and bug them to do your preferred needed format. Since you have Translator, call them/us up and request it. Death threats are usually the most effective method. =) Garth Hjelte Sampler User
