Here is an idea for a new feature, actually two interrelated ideas. One should be able to right or control click in either a Matrix Editor or Event List Editor and be presented with an option: insert a control, note, pitch or other event at the point of the cursor. This leads into the second idea, which applies to the EXS-24. The EXS-24 responds to key/control select messages which of course is nice. However, this could be improved upon as follows. First, the control number that is used should be standardized much like control 64, for example. Now, the editor of the EXS instrument should have a new feature on the EXS-24 instrument edit window: the ability to name each patch level as selected. Of course there should only be as many names to designate as there are levels to select. Now when you right/control click on the Matrix or Event List editor one of your options will be that controller that selects patch levels. If this control is selected, a submenu pops out wherein one selects the level that is desired. The appropriate control or note event is then entered. Finally, of course there are already many patches that use patch level select but do not use the above feature. These could be edited by the end user so as to retroactively provide the appropriate names. Thangyouverymuch, Bob
