with help form len sasso (thank you so much) i could pin the problem down to
the asio support in logic audio and or the logic audio engine.

only on my system? in general? that i would like to know.

as a matter of fact the problem described is less (at really high tempo i
occurs again) the case using sound manager. but:

i got the "latest" asio driver (2.0/1999) for the motu.
and: using the same driver in cubase (no new discussion please, i only got
the demo for this test) there is no problem at all when running the same
sequence (using neon instead of the exs. but: neon, and any other audio
instrument had the same problem in logic.)

if anyone using the motu2408 on a g4 mac could check, please.

or if someone from emagic could comment, please, for i don't know what is
the deal here.
