Thnaks, but its not working for me...

I select all the notes i want to mute, and press M, but nothing 
happens, nothing is muted.

When you say "Enable solo", do you mean clicking the solo button on 
the Transport bar, right? or is it something else?

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
