Thanks to everyone who replied to my previous post. These were helpful suggestions. After an elaborate and convoluted path, I have now managed to successfully install a large Giga format file (Steinway B from Soundsonline) on a PC disk with self-extracting executable onto my Mac, and into EXS24. I can indeed see the 528 individual .wav files totalling 889 MB or so. The last link: when I launch Logic 5.5.0 and try to play the sample, I get a message that there is not enough memory. Even after significantly increasing the memory (256 MB assigned), checking off "larger disk buffer" and "more friendly disk read handling", I still get told there's not enough memory. I imagine the hard disk streaming feature of EXS24 is not working. Does anyone know what to correct (other settings, maybe?) are or are there other tips? Cheers, Larry
