Hello all. Apologies if this one has been done to death already, but a quick search didn't come up with anything in the archives. I finished a song a couple of weeks ago which amongst other things used a clavinet multisample on the EXS24 Mk II. The instrument name was "clavinet" and it was buried deep within two or three subfolders of the "sampler instruments" folder (I'm on PC). In the following week with some free time I at last got down to installing all the Akai Japan stuff which had been clogging up my hard drive for the best part of a year. This afternoon I called up the song I mentioned earlier to see how it sounded, and lo and behold the clavinet track had been transposed down an octave... or so I thought. On deeper inspection, the EXS had loaded a "clavinet" instrument all right, but... you've guessed... it was a different clavinet from the Akai site, in a separate subfolder, with completely different samples. Does this sound familiar to anyone, and if so, does this mean that no two instruments can share a name, however far separate they are in the file structure of the computer? Rather worried about what else might crop up... Guy
