This is not correct.  The factory sounds disk adds a lot of 
instruments (way more than 3 :-), but there is a problem with 
installing it for LA5.  I think Sascha has the full set online -- 
Sascha?  webpage?  You should download them and dump those .exs files 
in your Sampler Instruments folder inside the Logic application 
folder.  That should give you a lot more instruments for starters.

Note that thge download only contains the instrument files (*.exs) 
and not the samples -- those are on the CD you got.  The samples can 
be stored anywhere on your system -- the EXS will find them -- but 
the *.exs files should go in the Sampler Instruments folder.

Next there are tons of free samples and EXS patches on the net.  On 
my website is a links section, which again has an audio section, 
which contains loads of links to sample sites, exs instruments &

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
