RE: [exs] OT: live performance setup

2003-02-26 by Joe Moretti

I do this currently and can give detailed advice if required

The main thing to have is a MIDI interface with multiple outs so that a
seperate MIDI set of tracks can go to a seperate module for the drummer - in
our case

we send the drummer a set of tracks - count ins - drums bass lead parts
WHATEVER HE WANTS and only can hear it as this module isn't connected to
anything other than his headphones.

I can give more detail about mixers on stage - etc etc - incidentally I
have a spare CANVAS for sale!!! £100 16 part multi-timbral ideal for the
job -

ALSO we have his canvas routed into his own mixer - as he is totally mic'd
up and he then has a volume control with a lot of gain on it so that he can
have the canvas really loud in his cans if need be

hope this is some help? we also run a MIDI lighting unit of our mac for
sequenced lights
