I`m using giga sampler because I need real power and my giga pc cost me
$1200 all included. I can use my mac to use emagic plug ins.

You'll never had the power and memory requeriments of actual sounds. Maybe
old akai discs...
My giga Pc doesn`t crash at any time . I use too emagic EXS 24. For my
work I need one or two more PCs with Giga.

Excuse me but if you plan to work with actual libraries you need more power
than 270 voices,
A stereo sound is 2 voices ...
I'm working actually with Sonic Implants Strings, and my polyphony limit is
out just for string section and a Piano... 2 years before my Giga PC gives me
more sounds with old akai disc but you now the biggest sounds were lower than
32 MB I don`t remember to use more than 140 voices two years ago.
I own too the Roland Classical expansions I & II, Roland Series 700 CD Rom
Archives(Complete library with out compression) Miroslav, Advanced orchestra,
Proteus and other stuff and I can tell you that Actual libraries sound much
better than all my stuff togheter .
If you plan to work with serious libraries you'll need more than a Mac....

Best regards

Elith
