The reason I have hesitated until now is that I mic'd the snare in stereo (experimentally) and it didn't really work out too well; to my tastes anyway. It's kind of "too stereo" and there's some phase cancellation when triggered in mono. I multisampled the snares, kik, and toms at four velocity levels as well as a nice short crash, a 22' Sabian ride (with the bell), and a sizzle cymbal (with rivets in it). It's hard to find samples of the latter. Garth, can I upload the kit to your EXS page along with the vibes samples? If so, please remind me again of exactly where to upload it to. The entire kit of samples is about 20 megs. The snare samples will probably work fine if you instantiate it in mono and compensate for the phase cancellation with some corrective EQ. -- Eli Krantzberg Nightshift Orchestra / Almat Productions http://www.nightshiftorchestra.com
