Mitch,

Is it possible that some other evil program has taken the files for 
it's own nefarious purposes, Real player etc.
I have had some problems with suddenly missing sound files but I 
noticed they were all .wav and so I converted them    using  Peak batch 
convert to .aif and they were found again.
Probably just me as usual....

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
