Hi all, I've just bought a new soundcard (a Terratec DMX 6fire 24/96) and I'm looking forward to sample my old (and trusty) Kawai K4 synthesizer before it dies... I've been doing that to sample each sound (1) Create a MIDI track in Logic with notes I want to sample at specific velocities (2) Play the track and record the result (ie the sound from the synthesizer) in an Audio track (3) Use the 'Strip Silence' function to separate the notes and save them manually giving them explicit names (for example, Piano C0, Piano C1, Piano C2, etc.) (4) Create a new instrument in the EXS24 editor. (5) Load the multiple samples and let the editor create the zones. (6) Save the instrument and have fun with the EXS24 :-) My question is: As this is clearly a repetitive process, does someone know of a software (preferably free or shareware) that does the same thing? Obviously, it would be great to have something that can create an EXS24 instrument directly, but, realistically, I would be ok if I could find something that just does the MIDI send and the recording of the result in separate audio files (preferably with name like I mentionned above). Thanks a lot. Avinash Meetoo
