EXS 24 Logic Sampler Users Group

You're looking in the wrong place.  The menu you mention is for 
settings for the EXSP filters, etc.  You have to load your 
instruments from the 3 green dashes at the TOP of the EXSP.

As for the location of the instruments, I have my instruments in 
LOGIC>VSTPLUGINS>EMAGIC>SAMPLER INSTRUMENTS.  I 
don't think it matters where  you put the actual samples.
