hi group,

we have a strange behaviour since I reinstalled logic on a PC running
windows 2000 (until a few weeks ago, we hav win98 installed and
didn\ufffdt have this problem):

when enabling record on a audio track, it takes up to 20 secs for the
track to be ready for recording.

Hi Charles,

You probably need to change your hard disk format from FAT32 to NTFS...

This was something that came up when the newer Windows OS came out. Emagic's
response 'fix' was to you to change the disk formatting.

None of my other audio software programs have this problem. :^(

And make sure you don't mix FAT32 and NTFS file systems. (ie C:\ drive NTFS
and D:\ FAT32)

thanks for helping guys!

although I just accidently posted this message into the exs forum
(was ment for the logic forum itself), I greatly appreciate your
help.

changing the file system from FAT32 to NTFS solved the problem
instantly. Also (just to mention), I didn´t even have to change the
file system on all disks, it aready worked after I changed the system
on our audio drive (I anyway converted all other drives too, just to
make sure).

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
