Percussion samples needed, recommendations?

Percussion samples needed, recommendations?

2003-09-26 by todd reynolds

Thanks to all.

I need some good ethnic percussion samples. Can someone recommend the best
package? I consulted the free samples links here on the group, but only
found the exs/akai sample instruments which need samples from the akai ftp
site, which I can't even find, let alone get a login for. Seems like
exactly what I need though.

Thank you so much. I'm a little surprised and disappointed that emagic
didn't include a set of these with the exs24.

All best,

Todd

Eli,

Sorry, you're right - I meant Vol 1. Don't know why I said Vol 2, I've
never even heard it...

Don't you mean vol1? Volume 2 is all tribal chants and loops and some
sound effects. Vol 1 has all the multisamples. And yes, there is lots of
very nice African percussion on it. And being an older library, possibly
it isn't too expensive these days.
