How to... install Factory CD under XP

How to... install Factory CD under XP

2003-10-01 by as624380

Dear friends,

as my HD exploded (BTW: When did you do your last Copy ?) I had to
reinstall the factory Sound CD.

But as I did the Install.EXE I had a "Wrong Logic Version" Message.

My Version is 5.5.1.

Any help?
Any Clues?

Thanks and Kindest Regards

Thomas

If I recall correctly:

This will not install from the CD because it doesn't recognise the filename
of the application. You need to add "Audio" into the executable name
temporarily while you install.

e.g. Rename Logic executable from "Logic Platinum 5.5.1.exe" to "Logic Audio
Platinum 5.5.1.exe"

Run setup from EXS Factory CD.

Don't forget to rename the Logic executable back afterwards (and always take
a backup first of course in case something's not right).

Hope this works for you.

Steve.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
