Want ClosedHH to cutoff OpenHH

Want ClosedHH to cutoff OpenHH

2003-10-19 by Michael McKenzie

Is there a way to set it up so key down on closed hihat will cutoff the
tail of the open hihat,
There was a setting in the SampleCell editor that did this. Can't seem
to find one in the
EXS editor. I don't like the idea of shortening the release for the
whole drum set in order to do this. Also, how do
the separate outputs function? Does this mean multitimbral output or
does it refer to external hardware?

Thanks.
Michael

Two ways I can think of. Set the number of voices in EXS instrument for the
hats to only voice. If you need more voices for the one channel then you
have to go into the EXS instrument editor, assign all the hit hat samples to
the one group, and then set that group to only allow one voice for the group
to play at once.
