Fast way to drop audio into EXS ?

Fast way to drop audio into EXS ?

2003-11-10 by audioframe

Hi all !
I was always wondering if there´s a fast way to drop audiofiles
from the arrange window into the EXS. Since I am doing a lot of
sound design I need to transpose sounds.
So what i´d like to do is pick a sound in the Arrange, drop it into
the EXS and get a new EXS Instrument with this sound on C3
and pitched up and down around it. Is that possible or do I have
to open an new EXS Instrument, name it, find the right sound file
somewhere on my hard drive, tell the EXS what to do with it, save
it, open an Instrumet....takes too long for my taste....
Is there any help out there?

Thanks!

You've already answered your own question I'm afraid... The EXS
doesn't do drag & drop, and the Instrument Editor feels and acts
almost like an MS-DOS command line interface. In other words: you're
hosed... (and so are we all).
