Hi Jeff, I use the G4 1,33 PB + 10.3.1 w 768 total Ram and it works 
beautifully...however, I haven't used it w tons of exs etc...However, I find 
it hard to believe that it wouldn't give you more bang for your buck than 
the Tibook...perhaps try a different machine?!  Good luck...mn

My advice is to go to a 2x2ghz G5, no problem with 35 EXS playing VSL
