Igor -

Thanks for your reply. I tried your suggestion, however, as soon as I try to
draw I get a "No sequence specified. Please select any note to specify a
sequence." error. Any ideas?

Thanks!!

Hey everyone -
Just got a titanium powerbook (sweet!). I have logic 4.7 running fine
on my G4 Power Mac, and just installed it on the powerbook, just for
doing EXS work. However, I don't have any midi interfaces connected
to it, and I am using the built in speaker (to hear the exs sounds).
Do I have to have a usb midi interface hooked up to it just to place
notes in the matrix editor? I've tried a couple of changes to the
environment, but always get a "No sequence - select a note" type
error.
If anyone has any advice, or can refer me to a page # in the logic
manual, I would appreciate it

Take the "Pencil" tool and create a blank Track, open it and draw some
notes...
just assign this track as "Instrument"

You get this error message if you haven't selected the empty sequence you
have created in the arrange page. You have to click on the sequence so it
is highlighted before you open it in the matrix editor.

Do you understand what Igor meant about using the pencil tool to click in
the arrange page to create an empty sequence? A small blank one bar
sequence will appear which you can then select and edit in any editor.

Murray

Yes, Murray is right ;o) Draw an empty Track with the Pencil in the arrange
window, select it with the Arrow tool or Doubleclik on it ( if it brings u
on a Matrix editor), open the Matrix and use again the right tool to draw
notes ;o)
now it can work i think ;o)

EXS24 and Ti-Book - Totally portable Solutions?

2001-04-20 by technodork_2000@yahoo.com

I've been considering trying the Roland USB powered keyboard
controllers to see if that would work for programming on the
airplane. Has anyone tested compatibility?

I've been trying to figure out the best portable solution, and also
one that didn't require an external power source. So using as
many USB powered items as possible. Such as the Harmon
Kardon Stick speakers, because the speakers built into the
Ti-Book sucks..........also, is there still a mic line in on the Ti
-Book? Too bad you couldn't run the Harmon Kardon sticks off of
the new Emagic 2/6 USB audio interface., as it only has rca jack
outputs, and any external synth modules couldn;t be monitored
by the sticks, but it could by some of the Roland Battery operated
monitors.

Does anyone know if the MT4 midi interface, and the 2/6 audio
interface and the USB dongle are all capable of being daisy
chained.Because too many USB devices and guess you would
have to get a hub.
