Sample Cell in Logic 6 Platinium

Sample Cell in Logic 6 Platinium

Could someone explain how I could import samples and loops from a
Sample Cell CD in Logic (if it's possible of course...). Many thanks
for your help. >JJ

Make sure the actual samples are on your hard drive, not the CD. Place the
samplecell instruments into your EXS sampler Instruments folder. The first
time you call them up, the EXS will convert them to EXS format. You can then
go in and trash the original samplecell instruments, as they are no longer
needed.

Samplecell banks don't work; don't even bother trying them. They hang the
computer for a while trying to figure out what to do and then give you a
totally useless conversion eventually.

Straight ahead multisample SC ll instruments convert the best. Forget about
SC ll instruments that have intricate modulation matrix settings.

I just re-read your message and possibly didn't answer your question
properly.

You don't specifically mention the EXS. If you just want to use the raw
samples/loops in Logic; just add them into your audio window and place them
in your arrange window from there as needed. There's no format conversion
necessary. Just make sure they are on your hard drive, and not the CD.

EMU E64 (ZIP) -> EXS ???

2004-01-07 by uswitalski@yahoo.de

hi,

would anyone know how to get E64 programms/samples into the EXS ?
we have tons of E64 formated ZIPs.

in case we bought a iomega USB ZIP drive (the EMU one is SCSI), any chance
that the EMU files are accesable by the EXS from there ?

your comments are apreciated,
thanks,
ulf.

You can also do it with Translator by chicken system software
(mac & PC); excellent tech support from those guys.
