EXS 24 Logic Sampler Users Group

When I try to open the EX24 and I get:

ASIO
Resource not found
(-10109)

No GUI just the controls...

How do I get the GUI back

A colleague is having the EXACT same problem with the Channel EQ (although
he uses a Digi 001 so  it's a Direct I/O error). I checked and all the res
and resource files are there. All the application support files in the
system folder are there. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could
be???

Wild guess, but the GUI of plug-ins needs Quicktime to be installed.

That was my first guess too. Not only was it installed, but I even updated
it to a newer version; still no luck.

I also have the same problem with the channel EQ. I'm using ASIO (M-Audio 
Delta66) and all files are where they should be.

So, at the very least, we can establish that this is not a specific
driver/audio card related problem having to do with third party
software/drivers.

Methinks we can. I also have the latest Quicktime install, and all my other 
emagic plugs have no gui problems. Just channel EQ. I'm gonna try a clean 
reinstall of Logic tonight to see if that does it. I've had this problem for 
a while now, but as I rarely use the channel EQ, I just ignored it.

Just for the heck of it, try trashing your prefs. That's the one thing I
didn't try on my friend's system (who had the problem). It seems an unlikely
source for the problem to be; but it's good to try just so we can rule it
out.

Well I'll stash my prefs (as opposed to trashing them) and create a 
new set of prefs and see if that's the ticket. Will report back 
tomorrow.
