Emulator Sample Transfer

2004-03-11 by dbdaniel4u

I've got a harddisk loaded with selfmade samples in the E4XTultra. Is
there a way to
transport these files to exs24 ?
Thanks.
Daniel

Both CDXtract and Chicken Systems' Translator can do that.

Before Garth and Bernard chime in with the answer :-) ...

  Translator.
http://www.chickensys.com/

(works perfectly here)

or possibly CDXtract
http://www.cdxtract.com

(never tried this one as Translator does the job for me)

Best,

Andy

ok,
I've got chicken translator, I've tried to hook up the
emulator 's internal and external HD's to the scsi
bus, but up 'til now I don't get to see any of them in
chickentranslator ? Maybe I'm missing something here ?

Mac OS X.2.8

Is your internal HD SCSI or IDE? EOS or FAT32 formated (the latter
with EOS 4.7 only)? Your Mac won't see IDE HD on SCSI chain. Not sure
if putting your IDE HD into Mac would work, but it might be the
answer. Ask Garth directly, cause he's known as a very nice and
helpful person and he knows the answer for sure.

Best,

Andy

How about using Toast and scsi copy to create a cd for Translator to see rather than
hooking the e4 up. Besides you should have backup of what's on the emu drive ;)

tg

p.s. Garth rules!!

Yeah, and party on, etc. =)

(Wasn't this a old message from April?)

That's a good workaround. No sense fighting it if the Mac isn't
cooperating. You also don't have to do a CD, you can make an Image file and
put it in the Images folder in the Translator folder.
