Hi there,
I still haven't bought the EXS as yet, as I have been watcing the list for a
while and I think I'd need to upgrade my slow g3 300 with the pewny hard
drives before I jump in. But I remember some one asking about the conversion
of MESA type files to EXS files. Did anyone have an answer for this, without
the use of an Akai sampler itself? This could be the clincher for me, as I
backup all my Akai stuff as MESA in the backup archive of the project I'm
on.

Translator does this, and CDXtract does it as well (although I can't 
comment on the quality, since I haven't tried that program).

MESA files are sometimes weird and sometimes don't represent the original 
Akai object very well. But mostly they work.

Of course, it's Windows and Virtual PC/Mac right now.

Why don't u DW the demo of cdxtract ? it's available...
works good, and very precise,very quick, even with Inactive Partition on
AKAI CD.
