According to current beta reports the two Emagic AU plugins don't
currently work in Live 4 (actually, AU is a little flaky in the
current beta full stop). Ableton are working hard on this so I
expect it to work by release - but it's workth checking before
you buy...

I don't have Live here to test it; but I trust (yes, i do!) that the new EXSP24 1.1, download
from Emagic, will work. It now works in every host I tested in in.

EXSP24

2004-08-08 by Doug Michael

Hello,
I'm running Logic 5.5.1 (Mac OSX) with a registered version of EXS24
and was wondering where I can get the EXSP24 player to use in other
apps? I noticed on the emagic site that the player for download is
just an updater that updates a previous version. Did the original
version of the player come with my EXS24 software or is it something
extra to purchase?
     Thanks,
   Doug Michael

- The EXSP24 came bundled with the Big Box or Logic Express, I have
not seen any way to purchase the audio Units sperately.

Hello,
Thanks for the reply. That's a shame. Has anyone tried to purchase
the EXSP24 as a separate audio unit? I'm sure there are others out
there that could use the player but did not buy the Big Box or Express
packages...

If you look hard you may find the boxed OS9 version(then you would
qualofy for the free update), the local Guitar Center still has the
Big Box on the shelf.

It's player, but remember the EXS editor is integrated into Logic, so
you can still edit libraries.

Re: EXSP24

If you haven't done so already, periodically check for auctions on
eBay. I have seen several recently for the EXS24 by itself, but
most however, have been offered as part of a Logic software bundle.
At the moment, there are no auctions for individual EXS24s, but
there will likely be one in the not-too-distant future.
