EXS 24 Logic Sampler Users Group

Hello everyone.

I recently installed a new Plextor CD writer in the PC I use for
Logic 
to replace an old and rather unreliable Yamaha SCSI model. Last night 
I got the message that it was time to reauthorise the EXS24, and put 
the CD in as usual. This time, however, the "Checking CD" bar comes
up 
and stays there until I cont-alt-delete Logic away. 

There's nothing wrong with either disc or writer (the file tree shows 
up in Explorer, for example), and so the only option seems to be to 
reinstall the old CD writer, which would be a pain to have to do each 
time. 

Does anyone know if this is unique to my system, or does the 
reauthorise procedure always have to come from the same equipment?
