Looking for EXS bagpipe samples

Looking for EXS bagpipe samples

2004-09-24 by Charles Lucy

Does anyone know of EXS bagpipe samples, which won't cost me an arm and
a leg?
It's for the music for the play "On The Razzle" for my local church's
amateur dramatics society, so zero budget.

I got some from the Kurzweil website a few years ago - FREE..! A
good drone sound and a single melody pipe. I don't know if they're
still there, but it might be worth looking.

Only thing is, you'll need to load them into a Kurzweil K series
sampler then export the .wav or .aif files into your computer to get
them to work with EXS (I don't think EXS reads Kurzweil format).

If you can't find them, send me an e-mail and I'll try to find them,
convert them and mail 'em to you. I don't think the file is very big.

Cheers, Andy M.

Charles, try http://www.sf2midi.com/index.
They're free, tons of banks. Most just ask you to
give them credit on your CD for using their sample.
Can't beat that. Just drop the SF2 files into your
Sampler Instruments folder in your Logic Folder. When
you go into exs24 & select the sf2 file you want to
use, it Logic automatically converts & downloads any
sf2 files into exs format.
Hope that helps, Mitchell

Instead of samples, try EMM KNAGALIS at
http://www.dashsignature.com/?content=products
it's a monophonic ethnic virtual instrument.

Thanks for the suggestion; yet .....

Anything "evil empire" is taboo in this establishment;-)

We only use Unix based systems, and can't even run it.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
