Auditioning sounds

Auditioning sounds

2004-10-02 by MattDamians

Hi

I was wondering if there's a quicker way of auditioning subsequent
sound presets within an EXS24 library folder. Similar to a hardware
synth
where you simply rotate a wheel to go through many presets.

At the moment, each time I want to hear the next preset within a
folder, I need to navigate (sometimes through quite a few sub
folders) and select the next preset down. Very time consuming and
frustrating when I have clients sitting in! Surely there must be a
quicker way?

I use Mac G4 with Logic 4.7 + EXS24 (mkI)

Many thanks!

Matt

I'm not sure about Mk I but in Mk II there is a plus(+) next to the
name of the active preset. If you press it the next preset will be
loaded. Hope this helps.

Matt,

Don't know why my first post didn't come through, but. . . You can
click on the - and + buttons on either side of the EXS24 instrument
name display to advance or revert to the next consecutive instrument.

Thanks for your help guys. EXS24 mkI doesn't have the - or + sign,
but I am upgrading to Logic 7 now, so problem solved.
