Hi,

Has anyone ever converted the following Akai CD's by use of EXS's
converter:
Best Service's Dance Megadrums
Best Service's Dance Megadrums 2
AMG's J.J. Jeczalik's the Art of Sampling

Did it work? (on Mac? OS 9.1?)

Yes, it works fine. As it stands, the EXS can't recognize an Akai/audio 
(mixed-mode) CD-ROM, but there is a relatively simple work-around:

- Use a program like CD-Copy to extract the Akai CD-ROM section and save 
it to your hard drive as a disc image file. 

- Use Toast (or some other CD application) to write that disc image to a 
CD.

- You now have an Akai-only CD-ROM that the EXS will happily read.
