thanks Dave,

ok, that's easy and done already. I can see the instruments in the pull down
menu in the EXS, but when it searches for it's samples it says "Exs
Instrument [name] audio file [name] was not found" , something like that.
And this is with the stuff from the CD. I see the samples with the right
name on my drive, definitely.

Do I need to choose that place for the EXS samples folder when i'm
installing and NEVER EVER move it, or what? When I installed I put my EXS
samples folder with all my other samples and a folder called "samples" but
then later I moved it to the Logic folder. what gives peoples?

Don't you get the option to "Search" automatically? This is supposed to come
up in order to chase down the samples of the location has changed. I have
moved samples on my system (across partitions) without a problem.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
