Recording Second Pass over Pivot Event?

Recording Second Pass over Pivot Event?

2004-12-31 by Pete Baldwin

Hi, I have a sequence with a track of dialogue samples. I recorded one long
midi event of one sample on one track. I want to record OVER this track yet
still keep that first midi event on there so the others pivot off of the
first one. I've set the EXS up so it does that. How can i record the second
sequence of events on the same track without manually having to step record
each event? In other words I'm trying to add events in realtime to events
that are already on the track.

MTIA,

Pete

If I understand correctly what you're trying to do, just insert a track
under the one you're original event is on, make it the same track
(instrument) and record away. It won't erase the first and the two midi
tracks will play the same instrument.
